USA School's Social Studies/History teachers respecting Bush too much

USA School's Social Studies/History teachers respecting Bush too much?
It seems like USA has a lot of freedom of speech but why then in school's do most teachers respect bush so much and nobody talks about how evil he is or bad he is and tells other sides of the story? When i was in school not one single teacher said something negative about george bush or what america was doing, but in real life i hear that stuff all the time from people aren't teachers supposed to tell both sides of the story?

1 :
Most of the teachers I know think bush is a liar and a traitor.
2 :
Hey Obama, can it !! Who are you to say he is "evil". This man is one of the greatest presidents yet !! Now shut up or i'll make you my own personal hand puppet. The stupid buffoon above me must have flaming a_holes for teachers.
3 :
Not to silly towel heads like you, no.
4 :
Are you serious? The majority of educators in this country are liberal democrats, with some being far left socialists with a severe hatred toward Bush. Besides, what's wrong with a teacher showing respect to our president?
5 :
Teachers, like the media, have to worry about being accused of liberal bias. College professors can be more open, but if a high school teacher says something, parents hear about it and stir up trouble. Bush's real legacy can't be fairly evaluated for years yet. When a president is in office, or even when he leaves office, its hard to tell what kind of president he was. Look for instance at Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. Republicans have been trying to destroy Carter's reputation for years, but as time goes by he looks better and better. He was the president who tried to do something about our addiction to oil. He brokered a peace between Israel and Egypt, its greatest enemy. And he began strategic talks with the Soviet Union. Reagan, OTOH, was the most popular president in US history at the time he left office, but every year that goes by his image becomes a little more tarnished. We see him today as a crazy old coot who was out of touch with reality. It's hard to find anyone who admits voting for him. So these two presidents, when they left office they were the most popular and the most unpopular presidents in modern history, but today they have switched places! I think 20 or 30 years from now Bush will be seen for what he is, the most corrupt and incompetent president in at least the last century, a man who was more secretive than Nixon, who used every office of his administration for political purposes and who used every emergency and crisis of his presidency as a justification to push a pre-determined agenda.
6 :
I don't know what schools you have been watching but most teachers speak very badly about the President. Although there still mad at him for holding them accountable for teaching.
7 :
In the UK most teachers do not particularly like Bush or Blair and we were given both sides of the story. However when it comes to Britain's past and it's empire I have so far been taught very little of the evils of the empire at school and taught how Germany was the biggest evil in the world. It sucks but I use my own brain to find out the whole story.
8 :
You can't be serious. I just graduated from college and I had numerous professors bash bush on a daily basis. One of my teachers at the Univ. of South Carolina was Don Fowler who was the former chairman of the DNC during the Clinton years. Don't kid yourself into thinking that the majority of teachers and professors are pro bush. Have you forgotten about the teacher's union which votes democrat religiously every election?
9 :
Not on this side of the pond , mind you some kids from your side thought Winston Churchill was a pop star
10 :
Because, at least according to your question, you are learning "Social Studies" and/or "History" on the US taxpayer's nickel. Your teacher is supposed to be teaching Social Studies (whatever that really means) and History, not propagating his or her political opinions. If you hear negative things about the United States "all the time from people," perhaps you should seek a less obsessive and more productive environment.
11 :
schools (plural) school's (possessive or contraction-form) If what you say is true, you seem to have attended school in the heart of neo-con la-la land. Math and science teachers don't "tell both sides of the story", ... in general, they teach methods which can predict reality with accuracy. Teachers who teach "current events" might "say things" about the current president, but usually they are not there to guide political choices ... not in the job description (*contrary* to the job description in fact) that being said, history will almost certainly remember "W" as one of the worst US presidents in history.

Medicine school USA? Who can attend

Medicine school USA? Who can attend?
Is it possible, for a non American, to attend Medicine school in the US? What kind of tests will I have to take (SAT, TOEFLS, Proficiecy...)? And what about a vise or a green card?
Studying Abroad - 1 Answers

Anyone who can put up the huge fees can attend. But you need to know that medicine in America is a graduate program, so you will have to have a Bachelors degree (you can have it in any subject as long as you take the required pre-requisite courses like anatomy, chemistry, etc). Yes, you will need the TOEFL. You will not get a green card, as you are coming as a student, you will have a student VISA. You can apply for one at the American consulate where you live once you receive you admissions offer.

If he was born in 1992, is currently in 10th now and will be coming for next year, he should get placed straight into 11th grade. However, if for some reason his transcripts don't process right or his units don't go over right, etc, he could be placed into 10th again. But, if everything goes well, he'll be in 11th, then have one more year of high school and he can do whatever he pleases after that :) Hopefully a university ^_~
2 :
Welcome to America. If your son is 16 years old when he starts class in the USA he will be in 11th grade in High School. Seems like it is the same here in the US because if he was here now he would also be in 10th grade.

The US does not have a national standard for high school graduation. Each state determines what is required for graduation. some states have mandated exit exams, others do not. Will you be attending high school here? If so, then I think what you do here is probably more important.

no you shall not skip

Do I need to go overseas for a USA med school interview

Do I need to go overseas for a USA med school interview?
Hi! I'm from Singapore, and I'm wondering if I can use AMCAS to apply for admission to a medical school in the USA. If I get called up for an interview by one of the med schools I applied for, would I need to pack my bag and go overseas, even if I would stand a chance of being rejected? Thanks in advance!

Schools that require an interview will often have either foreign offices or be willing to set you up with a local alumnus that you could interview with instead of traveling to the school for an interview. If you do have to travel to the school, ask them about travel arrangements, there's always a chance they can help make the travel burden easier on you through money or providing lodging or something else. So if you're in this situation, ask them what options they might provide other than traveling to the school for the interview.

can you compare modern USA school/high school education, to education in different country let say Russia, or?

Yeah, WAY too many school in the U.S. suck major ballz nowadays. Having traveled and attended classes in other countries I believe the U.S. is in serious trouble if they don't get their shite together really soon. And the creationism school are the worse of the lot. Do you have ANY idea how retarded these people sound when they spout of how old the Earth is (from a bible standpoint) when discussing history with someone who has HAD the benefits of a good education? They just look really sad and pathetic I feel so embarrassed for them, and the people who go to these creationist schools. It's almost like they were back in the Middle Ages.
2 :
Well, it's really hard to say. I think most schools in most countries have teaching backwards. Schools (especially in Asian countries) believe that cramming and memorizing facts is the way to go with education, and to some extend, it's like that in the US too, and it should be more of an emphasis on cause and effect. This happens because of this, and this is WHY this happens, not simply "memorize this and that and recite it back to me". What's good about the US school system is that it's less of an emphasis on facts facts facts and there is more hands on experience, but this is only in the best US schools. My high school's ranked in the top 50 in the US so we have a pretty good system and have labs etc. but not a lot of schools have this. The US's problem is there isn't enough emphasis on school and education and an attempt to make learning enjoyable. In countries like China, school is very important and being dumb is pretty much heavily looked down upon, you don''t get this in the US. I think if you have a combination of making learning fun, important and useful for life outside of the classroom, you have a perfect education system. China is too much based on making learning routine, the US doesn't care about education enough (especially with the low budjet for schools). Sorry for the long rant :0 ) EDIT: I know, I take as many AP and Honor classes I can cram into my schedule, but there is this American state of mind that if you love learning, you get dubbed "loser" or "nerd" and that's looked down on. Those who love to learn shouldn't be discouraged to do so.

How old are you? You can't just get a student visa. If you're under age 18, you can't get one at all - your visa would be linked to that of your parents, so the only way you'd be allowed into the US is if your family also comes. The exception would be if you applied to a private, boarding high school in the US. If you got into one of those, you'd be allowed into the US to study. Is that what you mean? If you're over age 18, you could get a student visa, but not in order to attend high school. You'd need to be eligible to enter a university to qualify for a student visa.

Is all school in USA are just like High school musical

Is all school in USA are just like High school musical?
I am from India When I watch there TV show or movies i am very surprised that There High school are like 5 Star hotel so much activities going on each school has there own stadium plus team and lots of clubs and such a big campus Just like in high school musical It is really true or not
Primary & Secondary Education - 8 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Usually the high schools share stadiums, but most schools have lots of activities and clubs. The activities and clubs do cost extra money, and that can be either raised by some sort of fundraiser, or the parents can pay. Not usually a whole lot of singing and dancing though.
2 :
Well, in my highschool. We have lots of clubs and teams. Not five star but its nice.
3 :
Well most High Schools have lot's of clubs, and groups.. Not much singing and dancing though and also not that many short skirts. The campus size usually depends on how many students it's designed to hold. Usually they're bigger than the elementary and middle schools.
4 :
Most high schools portrayed in the movies and on TV do not exist. While there are certainly some upper-end and monetarily rich schools scattered across the U.S., most are lucky to have enough money budgeted for books. Funding cuts in education have lessened the availability of activities like art, band, etc... and field trips are few and far between. Clubs exist through holding various fundraisers. Sports are supported by parents and booster clubs. Most of the money needed for any extracurricular activity comes from parents and community donation. Classrooms are crowded. Supplies are limited. Teachers are in demand. My daughter's high school has four teachers without a room to call their own. They have to push a cart of stuff from class to class. This year there were 7 students who didn't have a locker of their own. And - my daughter's school is not only considered one of the best and very sought after, it is only five years old! TV is entertainment - certainly not the truth. Interesting question - nice to hear from someone outside of U.S. - thanks.
5 :
my high school is actually really nice, but HS musical is a retarded view of High school. no, it's not like real hs at all.
6 :
I think there are probably 5 star high schools in the United States, but I live in small town, and our high school isn't that nice. The high school in HSM is a real high school though.
7 :
No.
8 :
well it depends where you go. My high school has 3 floors with 3 cafeterias and a huge football stadium along with 5 tennis courts and a lot of soccer fields. we have alot of activities. btw we dont sing out loud like in high school musical, unless you are singing in the choir

You need to check with your state. Most states dont have very strict requirements, infact many are simply pathetic. I am sure your experence will be satisfactory. You do however have to have background checks and possible a TB test or physical.
2 :
pick an state or two to look at. make a call to their DPI Also talk to teacher placement orgs like VIF
3 :
It depends on the state that you live in. Some states will let you test. If you pass then you will only be given classes that deal with that school districts polices and procedures. Some states like Florida don't care what you have and where you got it. If you college does not tie in with their colleges or if you do not have a national teacher certificate, then you will have to repeat allot of what you have already learned. Some colleges may let you transfer credits. To save time have all your transcripts translated in advance be sure that the translator is also a notary and can confirm the translation. Some states have a scholarship program, similar to the one here in Fla. this program lets you work in the teaching field and get paid education @ the same time. Most centers have programs available and are willing to pay the difference for you provided you stay with them for at least a year. Check the state web site on where you live every state should have one. Florida's web is www.myflorida.com/childcare
4 :
check with you state, might need evaluation and complete the state needs that all. best of luck!!
5 :
If you are willing to work in a private preschool there should be no problem. Some states have requirements for teachers in licensed day care programs but generally there are no requirements for teaching in a nursery school. Some schools have public school Pre-Kindergarten. You'd have to be a certified teacher to teach in one of those. The rules vary from state to state. Bring proof of any courses and certifications when you come. Good Luck!

There is no exam that is necessary to enter a University in the US. However, American students almost always take either the SATs or ACTs which can then be sent in with your college application. For Non-English speakers, I believe that the TOEFL is the correct test to take.

Canadian student loans are provincially administered. You don't say what province you are from but you can find contact information on Canlearn.ca for each province You should contact them or check the websites to see if the school you are planning to attend in Dallas is accredited by your province's ministry of advanced education. You will still have problems with maximum funding levels. In BC where I am, a student (with no dependants) can only borrow $16 640 for 54 weeks maximum. Since the average school year is usually 34 weeks it is more likely that the maximum you would be allowed to borrow from the government is $10 880. Your province may have higher amounts but I would guess not by much. You could also apply to your bank for a student line of credit but those loans aren't interest free like gov't ones are.

If you are looking to save money but dont particulary care about the quality of your education (as seems to be the norm when students come from overseas) try either Cheblis Aviation in AZ or Air Desert Pacific in CA. they are both dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for...We had a few different names for ADP when I flew in the same area as they did... Air Disaster Pending Another Dead Pilot And I have yet to meet any "graduates" from Cheblis that can actually act as a competent pilot. But they're both cheap...
2 :
You get what you pay for, but if you look for decent quality, you may want to explore into "guaranteed" ratings. These schools are usually average priced, but you know exactly how much the license or rating is going to cost you. If it takes more hours of ground or flight time, the cost is the same. Airman in Oklahoma used to offer these courses, but there are a few if you look around. Others may offer a low price, but then they will keep telling you that you need more and more training to "brush you up" and get ready for the check ride, until you either spend a fortune or quit and finish elsewhere. Beware of this type of school.
3 :
There are some things in life that if you are going to do, you need to make sure you do well. Flying, especially instrument flying, is one of them. If you can't get good training, enjoy VFR flying for a while longer until you are able to pay for good instrument training.

You didn't say where you were from, but it is my understanding that the USA's school system is much different than those of other countries. I will tell you what I know... Primary school is usually through grade 5. We start the kids in a prekindergarden at age 4. These children spend most of their time getting ready for what we call a TAKS test. It is given at intervals during the childs school life, like grade 3 and grade 5 and if the child does not pass, they can not move up to the next grade. While you are young like this, you have no option of what you study. In junior high, grades 6-8, you have little choice of what you study, but you do get to take an elective or two, like deciding if you want to be in choir, band, or art...not much of a choice if you ask me. Then when you get to High School, around age 15 you get a little more freedom, like you can chose what type of science you prefer and math as well, however most of it goes on your grades from previous years....Even in College, we have to study history and literature and do not get to really specialize in what we want to become...I understand in other countries, when you get to college you mostly study what you are majoring in...not here, you have to study many many different things to get a degree...
2 :
Middle School around ages 11- 14 (Grades 6-8) High School around ages 14- 18 (Grades 9-12) In Middle School, everyone is required to take English, Science, Reading, Math and Social Studies. Then, they can choose 2 classes of electives. (ex. cooking, sewing, band, chorus, art, wood shop, and so on) Your choices are limited... In High School, the grades are called 9th grade- Freshmen 10th Grade- Sophmore 11th Grade- Junior 12th Grade- Senior. There are requirements for graduation for High school, which varies for every school. For mine, we need 4 years of English, 4 yrs of Math, 2 years of Social Studies, 2 years of Foreign languages, 1/2 year of business, 1/2 of art or music, and so on. If students choose to take more than 2 years of Social Studies, then they can. and same goes for other subjects as well. We just need to meet the requirements, other than that, we have many many many other electives that we can choose from. (psycology, auto shop, drama, foods, fashion, accounting, graphic designing, tv production, marketing, economy....and many more.) And the courses are more specific than Middle School. Science- Biology, Physics, Chemistry Math- Algebra, Calculus, Math Analysis, Algebra II, Trig. Social Studies- Military History, American Studies, US history, European History, World History, Economy... and all those have levels of regular, honors, or AP. Then, during our junior year, (11th) we take a standarized test for preperation for college.

Which school in USA is ideal for children from India

Which school in USA is ideal for children from India?
1) My daughter is 13 and is an aspiring singer. Are there schools in USA that provide opportunities to develop singing skills alongside good education? 2) What are the immigration requirements in such cases for Indians? Thanks and best wishes, Joseph Ponnou

1)I work for a school called Randolph-Macon Academy. Although we don't have a world-reknown arts department, we do offer a chorus that travels throughout the United States. The reason that students come to our school is primarily for the stellar education that we offer for grades 6-12. 2) In order to be a student in the United States, your daughter would need to obtain a student visa from India's Embassy. Before she could meet their approval she would need to have an acceptance letter from the school that she plans to attend and a valid I-20 form that the school would give depending on the requirements that she has met.

F1-student Visa for CANADIAN resident going to school in USA

F1-student Visa for CANADIAN resident going to school in USA?
I've seen lots of canadians going to the USA to go to school. My question how do these kids get the F1 visa? I was told that canadians are treated differently than europeans that they don't have to go for interview, and they just get papers sent to their house, and drive to the border and get the permit stamped and there good to go! any one know for sure?
Immigration - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
you have to apply to a school first and be accepted. When you are accepted, the school will then send you an acceptance letter. The school office will also tell you what forms to fill out and how to apply for a student visa. You must include a copy of the acceptance letter with the application. Once you have the student visa, then you can cross the border. But you will also need to show proof of money to support yourself.
2 :
You have apply to a university and get an F1 Visa. Consult with an immigration attorney in the US for help.
3 :
Canadians don't get F-1 visas. The law is different for them. All they need to do is enroll and present their I-20 at the Port of Entry along with proof of financial support and they're good to go.
4 :
Canadians are indeed treated differently, because Canada has a special status with the US, it's visa exempt, very different from Visa Waiver and much better. So, for every nonimmigrant visa class except for E visas, they do exactly what you say above. Under Visa Waiver, a person would still need an F1 visa to go to school. Landed immigrants are required to get whatever visa is appropriate. The only difference is, they can get full validity visas even if they're a citizen of a country that normally can only get limited visas. Used to be landed immigrants didn't need visas either, but after 9/11 that particular regulation changed. You can always check this out for yourself. Take a look at the visa information available on the Toronto consulate, there's lots of information there, toronto.usconsulate.gov.

no there are no fees. it basically just comes from your taxes. yes buses drop kids near there houses. its not like door to door service. that would take much too long. they just have to go to the closes bus stop. (but i dont know what KG means so i cant help you there)

Hi! I wouldn't recommend the UK because school is dreadfully expensive over there. Going to college in France is (almost) free, the tuition is ridiculous compared to American colleges. As long as you graduated from high school you can study pretty much anywhere. Good luck!
3 :
Instead of Europe, consider university in New Zealand. Much cheaper but just as good.

North Carolina State University. In 2006, they predicted the hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean to be a below normal year, while about 1,000 other universities were presuring them into predicting an above normal season. Once the season was over, NCSU gained national recognition among the meteorologist community.
2 :
I think if you're going to pick just one it would be MIT. But there are many fine schools that are better in some areas than MIT. Penn State, UCLA, Arizona, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Washington are all great. There are many lesser known schools where you can get a wonderful education too. My suggestion would be that wherever you go, take as much physics and math as you can. It wouldn't hurt know computers too.
3 :
San Francisco State University, San Jose State University and UC Davis all schools that teach meteorology in California.. NOAA partners with SFSU and SJSU... All these schools are located in California.
4 :
In Indiana the best to choose from are Purdue and Ball State (public schools) and Valparasio(private school). Although on the public schools I would give purdue the edge.
5 :
Purdue University has a wonderful school, and at least 5 meteorologists at the weather channel that I know of, went to Purdue University in Indiana
6 :
Penn State has the number one overall meteorology program in america for undergrad. If you are looking to specialize in hurricanes Miami is number one in that area. If severe weather, Oklahoma is number one in that category.

can one go to medical school in USA directly after the high school, in an integrated program

can one go to medical school in USA directly after the high school, in an integrated program?
I 've heard, There is medical school in Kansas city, takes students after high school in a 5-6 year program
Higher Education (University +) - 7 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
No. Need to go to a 4-year college.
2 :
not unless you are doggie howser!!
3 :
No and you really shouldn't. You need a broader education and maturity to be a good medical student and a good doctor. You can get in with three years of straight pre-med classes (maybe), but I would still recommend the 4 year degree and broader education..
4 :
I doubt it....4 years Pre-Med required before med school...
5 :
You can not go directly into a med school persay, but you can enter a program that offers extremely gifted students to start working on their medical school requirements in their junior and senior years so that they recieve their MD in seven years instead of 8+. They offer these programs at many schools, but here are the links for two: http://www.bu.edu/admissions/discover/medical.html http://www.mc.uky.edu/meded/bsmd/
6 :
Yes, University of Missouri -Kansas City offers just such a program (http://research.med.umkc.edu/med_admissions/default.html). It takes longer because they require that the student take general education courses on top of the regular med school curriculum, mainly in their first year. It's not the best med school in the nation, but neither is it the worst. Usually, the biggest difficulty of graduating med school at a younger age is gaining the confidence of the patient. Conveying such confidence and handling yourself in a adult manner takes time, experience, and maturity which is usually gained during the traditional college experience. It is only recommended for high school students who are sure of what they want, have a realistic understanding/expectations of the career, are mature and independent, self-motivated, and are intelligent and capable of handling a demanding work load. Do internships or volunteer in hospitals or clinics to gain a sense of the medical career if you haven't done so already to make sure you know this is what you want to do before comitting to it. The pros: -getting through med school a couple years sooner. -classmates will be other similarly highly-motivated students your age. -find out early in life whether medicine is a good fit for you or not. The cons: -lack of maturity or emotional development of the student -wariness of patients upon seeing such a young doctor, inability of student to gain patient's confidence -missed out on 4 years of exploring other career options and networking through the traditional college experience
7 :
Yes, there are 35 schools in the US that offer what is called a Combined Degree program. This link will take you to the list, which has links to each school: http://services.aamc.org/currdir/section3/degree2.cfm?data=yes&program=bsmd The admission requirements are high, so review each school's criteria carefully to make sure you qualify. If you have any weak areas, it's best if you don't try that route. But if you are one of the top students, it certainly is worth pursuing.

Does anyone know about the Sudbury Valley School in USA

Does anyone know about the Sudbury Valley School in USA?
I read a book (Free at last) about a school that only teaches when the pupils ask to learn something. Has anyone been there? I'm curious to know more.
Primary & Secondary Education - 1 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 .Yes, I know the school well. The school has an extensive press, with many more books, and a whole lot of free information on the web page http://sudburyvalleyschool.org. Though, to be fair, it is not strictly true that "the school only teaches when the pupils ask . . ." It is more accurate to say that the school *never* teaches, and that it is key to the school's philosophy that, in a caring and intellectual environment, people naturally learn. And that, in fact, such learning is invisible. Consider the way that an infant learns to speak. One wouldn't say that the child was taught how to speak. And yet, by the time that the child is age 2-4, s/he speaks. This is how students at Sudbury Valley learn to read, debate, do mathematics, etcetera -- unitntentionally, naturally, organically. I hope that this helps.

Is wearing dishdasha to school in usa good idea

Is wearing dishdasha to school in usa good idea?
I graduate high school in a few weeks and it will be getting hotter soon. i want to wear them everyday and i am also looking for ways to become more religious. can you help? mashallah..you guys are great

1 .Well as you know brother USA is racist country and they call every single person for terrorist even if you have beard My question is what about those jewish people who got long beard americans dont say anything to them
2 .well you might get some jokes from your colleagues, but I think you should wear it. They are very comfortable and they shouldn't really say anything. I always wear them to sleep.
3.Your choice if you wnat to wear them just dont be afraid of your religion in public. Noone is gonna say anything and even if they do, your doing an amazing thing for your rleigion
4 .you know what is best for you. here in the UK many wear it. once we have no uniform we wear whatever we like. ..... the first step to becoming a better muslim is to read your 5 times Salaah.
5 .check with your schools dresscode first to make sure you can, especially if you go to a private school. aside from that do whatever you want, but expect teasing and weird looks, since you never did it before people are def going to make fun of you (not trying to be mean, just realistic)
6 .Depends on the school's dress code. My first high school required belts to be worn, so that would be a no-go. Second high school didn't, and you'd be fine. Most colleges don't have one at all so long as you don't come naked.
7 .what is dishdasha ? Jazaak allaahu khayran wassalaamu alaykum
8 .your name in arabic is : i changed my name to abd al izz whats abd al izz ? do you mean abdulaziz ?
9 .Yes, you most definitely can. There are guys in my campus who wear thobes, kufis, etc.
10 .hahah.. wow.. sorry im not laughing at you, just the idea/ the picture in my head of someone doing that. idk where u live at but def where i live they'd probably either call u a terrorist, or make fun of u for wearing a "Dress".. i dont necessarily think that wearing dishdasha makes you a better muslim, but if it secures your faith and seperates you in your mind from the kuffar.. then by all means go right ahead, and best wishes to u barakAllahu fik @ below. a girl in a skirt is not exactly the same thing as a boy in a "dress" to american kids @ rock chick its just a "thobe" diff people call it diff things http://www.alhannah.com/products/me423.html
11 .asalamu alaukum, yh why dont u wear it? i wear a skirt in school and i dont get silly comments from some people telling me to wear trousers etc:) but i dont care, n dont listen to the people who make silly comments go ahead and be who your are not what other epeople expect you to be x salam for help email me:D am alwways free
12 .LOOL whats a dishdasha? :S find me a google pic of it so i can answer your quesss :D:D:D
13 .Assalamu alaikum akhi if your wearing then wear thoub which is not black. And you should have backup thoub because it will smell once you go to gym (i.e after doing gym if you wear it, then it will smell). To become more religious as said by someone, read 5 times Salah. Once this is done, my advice to you is do zikr after namaz and make it a habit. Also see we have to change our character into good person. If our character is good then deeds should be the same. For instance how do we behave with others? Are we doing what islam says? "Sunnah of Dressing" http://hanafifiqh.blogspot.com/2005/12/sunnah-of-dressing.html take care as always =)
14 .of course it's a bad idea to wear Dishdasha, my brother we have to give a good idea to others about Islam, specially if u live in western country. I believe that Islam in our heart , not in our wearing , and plz give a good image for Islam , to invite others to our Religion .. once i were in London for vacation , i saw 1 lady covered her face with something strange , i swear to God I was feared of her she looked like a horse ,So what do you think about western ... love Islam to Islam love you if Rasul Allah (S) is alive now, He will wear and drive the best .. Muhammed (S) gives us the best image about Islam why we are trying to scatter his way i'm sure all of you are not happy from my answer , but sorry i dont like to lie i send what i feel

I am planning to send my son to a high school in USA. Any idea how much will it cost?
And also which high schools do you recommend?
Other - Education - 2 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 .It completely depends on where in the US you're planning on going. As far as I know, there aren't any specific high schools that stand out, so I would look for general neighborhood and city you want to live in. And public schools are free for the most part, and private schools cost various amounts. In the city where I live, the private school costs $10,000 per year, but the public school I went to cost me nothing.
2 .depends if he can get into college or university. It usually costs international students triple times more than U.S citizens. The school and the U.S would want you to show proof you have atleast $25,000 in your bank and must issue a bank statement in U.S dollars... so the student doesnt work (student-visa doesnt allow working) and wont have financial hardship. Also its usually around 8-10 thousand a year for tuition and another $12,000 for living expenses. for a year it would approximatly cost $22,000-25,000 for tuition and living for one year. (and this is just for regular colleges) universities are usually higher in tuition.

1.It depends where you decide to go. There is a lot of diversity in certain parts of the United States, so most people are used to foreign kids at their schools. I especially suggest you move close to the coasts, to more progressive states like Washington, Oregon and California in the west and Massachusetts, New York, Deleware on the east. California is the most diverse, and there are significant minority populations in the state. Kids here grow up with immigrant kids from Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia that often don't speak english well initially, and definately look different. Your situation is unique because there are no Indonesian enclaves in the US. New York has large Puerto Rican and African American areas, Los Angeles has a large number of Mexicans and Central Americans in the south central part. Many cities have "China towns" or "Korea towns." But there are no Indonesia towns, because of the diversity of your people. You will have the same problems every person has when they are new to a school, but few or none of those problems should be based on your nationality. I suggest learning the language very well, and learning to understand jokes, which can be quite subtle in any language. If you find the right group of friends, you should be fine. I had many friends in high school that were immigrants and had to improve their English, but they were cool anyway. Good luck.

Do the public high school in USA provide host family?
If so, what are the schools that provide it? Do we have to pay for it?
Studying Abroad - 1 Answers

No, they do not. You have to select an exchange organization (YFU, AFS and Rotary are the best) and then apply. If you are selected, they find the school and the family for you. You DO have to pay for the program (they do offer scholarships) but you do not pay additional for the host family. A note, host families are VOLUNTEER. They do NOT get paid for hosting you, so if you do get to do that, please remember that and treat them and their home with respect.

Your best bet is to contact a traveling rt company directly to find out what their rules are but as a traveling nurse, the usual amount of experiences required is one year. There are always exceptions to the rule but if you find a company that will take you straigt out of school (which i highly discourage) be prepared for the hospitals/facilities where you apply for jobs to give you a hard time.

2 :
When studying a foreign language I like to find readers which use new words and define them somewhere on the page you're reading. This beats having to turn to the back of a book and look up definitions from a vocabulary list. Bilingual editions of stories are also good. You can refer to your own language's side of the book when you are stumped. English has such a good written literature, with many genres, you should find something you enjoy reading. Internet talk radio stations should also help you out. But I'm probably a bit naive--you probably get English language TV where you are.

All accredited medical schools permit international students to apply. As for the requirements, procedures and costs, you will have to visit each medical school's website because they are all different and what applies to one, does not necessarily apply to another. Time to do some research of your own.
2 :
I'd start by checking the private medical schools---the public schools tend to prefer students from within their own state since their taxpayers are subsidizing the education of their medical students.

It does not cost anything directly to enroll a student in a public school but they are paid for by taxes.
2 :
Public schools are free to students everywhere in the US.
3 :
Public schools do not cost the student or his/her parents anything to attend. They are totally funded by the taxpayers, primarily through property taxes.
4 :
American public schools are free of charge to the students. American taxpayers pay about $5000 to $9000 per year per student... but most of that money goes in to administrative costs rather than into the classroom.
5 :
In my school district it costs $50 per year for Kdg., $80 for 1st-8th and $135 for 9-12th grade. This has always irked me as I thought that is what my taxes go for. I am surprised that many people said it is free; not that I doubt them, but in our district it is not like that. On top of that we also pay extra fees for band, chorus, and sports.
