Title: Can I go to Med School here in the USA, become a Dermatologist and then work as a Dermatologist in Australia? Am I required to attend Med School in Australia if Im going to work in Australia? You need to consult with teh Australian Consulate. They would happy to accept more doctors, but I assume that migth have some sort of exam to make sure foreignors have equivalent education as theirs.

FIRST you need to find out if Dermatoogists are in demand - lets see.... http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-occupations/occupations-in-demand.htm You are in luck - Yes dermatologists are in demand So read the above website and follow the directions after your graduate and AFTER you have worked for at least 2 years to gain the required experience.

You can go to med school in the USA; train as a Dermatologist and then work as a Dermatologist in Australia provided you meet the requirements of the Australian Medical Council, the Australasian College of Dermatologists and Australian immigration. You may or may not need additional training in Australia - that will depend on how the College assesses your training, clinical experience and standard of practice. http://www.dermcoll.asn.au/public/overseas_trained_dermatologist.asp Australasian College of Dermatologists http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations/d/dermatologist.htm Immigration skills assessment - mandatory before a visa application can be lodged http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/medical-practitioners/doctors.htm Visas You become eligible to apply for Australian citizenship after living in Australia for at least 4 years including at least one year as a Permanent Resident.
