I'm a doctor graduated from a med school outside USA and I will get the green card.?
I want to know if I'm able to join a residency program in USA and are there places for me if I passed the USMLE examinations, and does it matter if I passed the USMLE from the 1st trial or from other trials? Does it matter if the I, merely, get the passing score or it is better to get high scores in the USMLE exams? Thank you very much for your concern.

Matching into residencies is very competitive in the US. There are a total of somewhere around 24000 rtotal open spots in the US. This includes all specialties. Some specialities are more difficult than others. Some much more diffictult than others, like surgery. US med school students fill 15000 out of the 24000, leaving about 9000 for foreign applicants. I've read that only between 40-50% of all foreign applicants are matched to a residency. To be matched in America to a top program, you must have good USMLEs, to be matched as a foreign student, you must have great USMLEs. Hope this helps
